Volunteer/Internship/Fellowship Opportunities

Community Service Fellowship (CSF)

The Community Service Fellowship (CSF) is an unpaid six-month training and service experience.  This experience at an innovative, rapidly-growing, not-for-profit is focused on carrying out a unique “connecting through strengths” message utilizing both Gallup strengths concepts and leading-edge mental health/leadership practices.  In 10+ hours/month, Fellows receive intensive training/coaching in leadership, service, and grant writing/research. Fellows impact their community in ways likely to continue for years to come.

Youth Service Fellowship (YSF)

The MCT Youth Service Corps Fellowship (YCSF) is a volunteer 24 week training and service experience.  This experience at an innovative, rapidly-growing, not-for-profit is focused on carrying out a unique “connecting through strengths” message utilizing both Gallup strengths concepts and leading-edge mental health/leadership practices.  In 10+ hours/week, Fellows receive intensive training/coaching in leadership, abolition, and service. Fellows impact their community in ways likely to continue for years to come. Service opportunities may include:  administrative tasks, physical labor (e.g. snow removal or helping someone move), or promotional/outreach activities (handing out flyers, making phone calls).

Fellows in both programs ​receive a powerful training and leadership experience which is likely to be a “launching pad” to greater leadership opportunities, professional credibility, and connections. The experience is likely to be a time of service, personal discovery, and professional skills development.


OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Coordinator
Coordinating the activities of our volunteer team, ensuring that volunteers are connected with truly “win win” opportunities.

Social Media Director
Ensuring the MCT message gets out consistently, that “viral messages” are created which support MCT’s mission

Administrative Support
Supporting MCT’s mission through providing support in answering phones, performing administrative tasks.

Champions for Vulnerable Children/Youth
Working directly with children/youth and their families alongside our Success First team to ensure our kiddos thrive in their family homes rather than requiring a higher level of care (e.g. psychiatric hospitalization or group homes).

​Advisory Council
Our Advisory Council meets quarterly and provides input as to our strategic direction.  We are looking for leaders in community service, the faith community, education, and business to support the MCT vision through their wisdom, energy, financial contribution, creativity, and volunteer engagement.

Undergraduate Internship

​REQUIREMENTS
Current enrollment in a higher education institution
60 semester (90 quarter) unit of completed college coursework, which includes 15 semester (23 quarter) units in behavioral science.

Attendance at MCT100 Leadership Event

Support MCT staff as they provide skill development services to residents in the mountain area, while gaining insight and experience working with a mental health clinic. There are opportunities for leadership, direct service to clients, as well as administrative tasks.
